Making a BRSTM is usually idiot-proof. Except when the track absolutely refuses to loop. That's when you have you're the idiot.
Hacer un BRSTM suele ser a prueba de tontos. Excepto cuando el track se niega a loopear. Ahí eres el tú tonto.
We’ve all been there. You're digging throug the depths of soundcloud and there you see it, the fifth Hybrid Theory butwith mario 64's soundfont you've seen today (and the second one by the same user), but this is the one. "This belongs in Smash.", you think.
If you survived the "Golden Age of Brawl modding" trenches, you've probably done it. You took your favorite audio at 64 of God's own kilobytes per second and stuffed it into a brstm. Once you know your way around customizing brawl, you'll feel a primal need to create garbage builds and replace nintendo's boring stock characters with your favorite brand mascots duking it out to the Zupapa OST.
A todos nos ha pasado. Andas hasta las rodillas en las cloacas de soundcloud, y la encuentras: Es la quinta versión de hybrid theory con soundfont de mario 64 que has visto hoy (y la segunda del mismo usuario), pero carajo, esta es. Y piensas: "derechito para Smash".
Si sobreviviste a las trincheras de la golden age del modding de Brawl, seguro tomaste tu audio favorito a flamantes 64kbps y lo forzaste a brstm. Cuando aprendes a customizar brawl, empieza a surgir una necesidad primigena de crear builds basura. De que otra manera podrías satisfacer la picazón de ver a Mamalucha vs Dr. Simi con OST de zupapa de fondo?
Since songs aren't usually made to be repeated endlessly (besides EDM and linkin park's in the end), full songs brstm's have the terrible downside of ending with a couple of milliseconds of silence to be alone with yourself. Unacceptable. Therefore the most moral option is to try and make your favorite songs be able to flow as an endless loop of noise, just like life itself.
La mayoría de las canciones (exceptuando el EDM e in the end de linkin Park), no están hechas para repetirse indefinidamente. Esto tiene la desventaja de provocar entre cada repeticion un silencio de unos cuantos milisegundos en soledad con tus propios pensamientos. Inaceptable. Esto deja como la opción más moral el intentar hacer que las canciones tengan un punto donde hagan un loop perfecto y sean un flujo interminable de ruido, como la vida misma.
The video above doesn't show the actual process (which is just playing tag with individual samples using the slicing tool for a couple of hours. Clinically normal behavior), because that would ruin the magic. So you only get to listen to the pretty results. yay!

El video de arriba en realidad no muestra como hago la magia (slice tool a samples individuales por más de dos horas. Comportamento perfectamente sano), sólo muestra los bonitos resultados, vale?
Gracias a P+ que ha revivido la escena, me han encargado algunas comisiones. Si te suenan muy curseadas no me culpes. Culpa a los que las piden. Si quieres un loop imposible contáctame y veré si aún me odio lo suficiente para hacerlo.
